JC heads to Bermuda to race Marstrom 32s with Andrew Macpherson, Philip Wahrheim and Dan Morris. Andrew "Macca" Macpherson is a second-time JCWW guest who is an Australian mostly known as a leading multihull production manager, Flipper Wehrheim is a pro sailor from New York who has won 4.5 World Championships and Dan Morris is a young up and coming pro sailor who has an unbelievable attitude and serious set of physical and mental sailing skills. Together, they crewed on Grooverderchi with Deneen Demourkas during the M32 Series in Bermuda. This podcast covers most everything, actually. Sailing-got it, religion, working out, drinking, politics-got it. They laugh pretty much the whole time and I hope you do to!
Mitch Booth has earned the title "Legend" over the years, capturing two Olympic Medals, 13 World Championships, 50 Australian Championships and various distance racing records since he started racing multihulls in the '70s. He's been part of controversy including racing for two different countries and creating the mythical "Chupacabra" in the Olympics. He also set records with the world renowned adventurer, Steve Fossett, before he tragically passed away. Mitch takes time with JC to talk about all of this, sailing with his kids, and how he sometimes thinks he should have kept playing the drums instead of pro sailing. It's an informative show with some inside info JC's been wanting to know about for years.
Randy Smyth needs no introduction. He's won two Olympic Silver Medals in the Tornado Class, has earned at least 50 World and National Championships, The America's Cup, helmed the trimaran in the movie Waterworld, the cat that flipped over in The Thomas Crown Affair, sailed around the world in The Race and was the man who JC wanted to be when he was a kid. There's so much inside info and hilarious stories in this podcast it'll pop your noggin. Enjoy!
